IL CATTIVO,(unauthorized),as recounted by B.P.Hagman:
“The band that you now know as IL CATTIVO, is born of a story as fabled and cliched as any in the annals of recorded time; the progeny of tumult and dissolution; of unresolved debts, and unrequited threats. 2009 felt it’s sting linger in Jed Kopp(Ghost Buffalo)(drums),G.Matt Bellinger(Planes Mistaken for Stars,Ghost Buffalo)(git), and Holland RockGarden(Machine Gun Blues)(git). Songs poured out like curls of smoke, billowing up , but clinging to the branches. JaredAnderson(bass)helped flesh out the bottom. Soon they invited me(Black Lamb)(vox), as a welcome, (albeit unnecessary),accouterment. Songs rife with melody and lyricism, I howled along , where I thought words should go.. More songs, More everything. Jared departed, bestowing his best wishes onto Neil Keener(Git Some!)(bass), who played w/ us in a different way,and brought different insights. then Neil left.
Now, Matty Clark(Tauntaun,Trees)(bass) joined us, and graces us w/ his irrefutable grasp of song, syntax, and F’N VOLUME, in ALL of its incarnations.
So,Today.. Matty C., Gary-Matt, Jed, Holland, and Myself, will play cantankerous music set on jubilance… "
The Debut “To Bring Low An Empire” recorded 2011 @ Black In Bluhm, by Christopher Fogal(The Gamits, TaunTaun)..
IL CATTIVO is humbly honored to exist at all…
“IL CATTIVO is like 500,000 pre-punk-proto-punk-during-punk-post-punk records playing in all of our heads..”
